HAPPENING SOON: Winter's Haven
A Place to Heal, Learn & Hope
Vision & Mission
At Winter’s Angels, we believe that no child should ever feel forgotten or alone. When children are removed from unsafe environments, they often carry with them fear, confusion, and trauma. Winter’s Haven was born out of a vision to ensure that these vulnerable children have a place where they are not only kept safe, but where they are truly seen, valued, and cared for. We envision a community where every child in crisis has the opportunity to heal, to learn, and to dream again.
We are to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can begin their journey toward healing while also offering families the support they need to rebuild. Winter’s Haven is not just a transitional home—it is a bridge between crisis and stability, between fear and hope, and between brokenness and restoration.
Project Description
Winter’s Haven will serve as a 24/7 transitional home for children who have been removed from unsafe environments through no fault of their own. These are children who, in a single moment, lose the comfort of their home, their sense of belonging, and sometimes even their possessions. Too often, children wait in government offices or emergency shelters while a foster placement is found. Our home will change that reality. Here, children will immediately be welcomed with warmth, compassion, and stability.
At Winter’s Haven, each child will be provided a safe bed, nutritious meals, clothing if needed, and emotional support from trained staff and volunteers. Beyond meeting basic needs, we are committed to nurturing their minds and spirits. Educational programs will ensure they continue to learn and grow, while recreational and therapeutic activities help restore joy, creativity, and confidence.
